Approximately $6 billion worth of residential auction sales have been transacted in Melbourne in the year to date, about 10 per cent higher than this time last year.

The middle and outer suburbs have experienced the highest increase in net worth over this period, up by 18 per cent and 27 per cent respectively from the previous year. There were 75 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 62 selling and 13 being passed in, 5 of those on a vendor bid.
